JOLTS collects and publishes critical monthly and annual data. JOLTS provides vital insight into labor market demand, worker mobility, and employment dynamics by measuring job openings, hires, quits, and layoffs. The data help businesses and investors assess labor market conditions, support researchers in analyzing economic trends, and enable policymakers to make informed decisions on workforce and economic policy.

MSG will recruit, manage, and monitor multiple Federal data collection centers and work with approximately 21,000 business and government establishments to collect data for the JOLTS program. MSG brings deep experience managing complex data collection projects and providing seamless program management for Federal clients as well as public and private sector companies. MSG will bring a culture of excellence and a cohesive, high-performing data collection team to the work, focused on improving JOLTS response rates, enhancing timeliness, and strengthening confidence in BLS estimates.

MSG has been a trusted DOL partner since 2010. “The JOLTS project team is excited about our new partnership with BLS on this high‑visibility, mission‑driven program that directly supports transparency and trust in Federal labor statistics,” said Charlotte Giordano, MSG JOLTS Project Director. “Supporting JOLTS allows MSG to apply our expertise in service of data that informs national economic understanding and public decision‑making.”

MSG looks forward to working alongside BLS to collect and deliver precise and impactful JOLTS data. Learn more about MSG’s work with the Department of Labor.
